"We would like to provide our heart-felt appreciation and commendation to Icon Developments for building our home in Ucluelet. This project was conceived, designed and constructed during the pandemic period and despite the challenges with respect to trades, labor and materials, in addition to the remote location, rugged site conditions on the ocean-facing west coast, and tough climatic conditions, Jamie and his team managed the project and worked through each issue with professionalism and attention to detail. The project entailed a myriad of consultants including a design architect, various engineering consultants, envelope consultant, landscape architect and interior designer, however Icon was the ‘common-sense thread’ as to what would work and what would not and ultimate fabricator who brought the design to life. At every stage, each aspect of the home underwent rigorous consultant review and Icon was not only viewed with merit for their discerning work but also for their proactive planning of forward schedules and work sequencing. This allowed a fairly complex project built under arduous circumstances transform into a lovely and functional home in a unique and beautiful setting, which has now received design accolades.
